Oodle accepts personals feed files in the CSV, Tab-Delimited, or XML formats. Here is a sample feed file for each of these formats:

Personals Fields

Required Fields
Each personals listing needs to include these fields.

• category
• id
• title
• url

Location Fields
The location fields indicate the location of the item being listed. For location-based search to work, it is highly recommended that each listing specify its location at least down to the city or zip/postal code level.

Field Descriptions

about_me
A description of the poster.
Format: Text.
Example: Hyper-motivated professional. Spend much of my free time motorbike racing.

age
Age, in years.
Format: Number.
Example: 24

body_type
Build.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: slim (or slender), average, athletic (or fit), a few extra pounds, large.
Example: slim

category
The category of the personals ad being listed. Here are some such categories.
Format: Text. Please be consistent in category names.
Example: Personals

city
The name of the city. Please use an official postal city name.
Format: Text.
Example: Concord

country
The country abbreviation.
Format: Text. Preferably, the two letter ISO 3166 country code.
Example: US

create_time
The date/time at which the listing was created.
Format: YYYY-MM-DD, or RSS format (i.e. 2004-07-16T14:00:00-07:00).
Example: 2004-07-16T14:00:00-07:00

drinks
Whether the person drinks.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: no, sometimes, yes.
Example: sometimes

education
The educational attainment of the poster.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: other, high school, 2 year degree, 4 year degree, graduate degree.
Example: graduate degree

ethnicity
The ethnic background of the person.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: African American, Asian & Pacific Islander, Caucasian, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Other, Various.
Example: Caucasian

expire_time
The date/time at which the listing expires.
Format: YYYY-MM-DD, or RSS format (i.e. 2004-09-16T14:00:00-07:00).
Example: 2004-09-16T14:00:00-07:00

eye_color
Eye color.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: black, blue, brown, gray, green, hazel.
Example: brown

featured
Indicates that a particular listing should be featured. This field only works if prior arrangements have been made with Oodle.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: yes, no.
Example: yes

fee
Listing requires a fee to view the content (ie. requires registering at a fee-based site).
Format: Text. Allowed values are: yes, no.
Example: yes

gender
The gender of the person placing the ad.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: female, male, other.
Example: male

hair_color
Hair color.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: auburn (or red), bald, black, blond (or blonde), brown, gray, other, white.
Example: red

have_kids
Whether the poster has children.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: yes, no.
Example: no

height
Height, in inches.
Format: Number.
Example: 71

id
Unique ID for this listing. You must use the same id with a listing in subsequent versions of the feed.
Format: Text.
Example: 3916251

image_url
A URL pointing to a full-sized (not thumbnail) image of the item being listed. We will reduce the image to an appropriately-sized thumbnail. The image should be specifically relevant to the item being listed, so please do *not* include logos nor 'image unavailable' images. Multiple image URLs can be included by pipe-separating the URLs.
Format: Fully qualified URL(s) that points to an image.
Example: http://www.example.com/listing/image1.jpg|http://www.example.com/listing/image2.jpg

interests
A list of the person's interests.
Format: Text.
Example: Good food, architecture, cast-iron sculpture.

ip_address
The IP address of the user that the listing was posted from.
Format: IPv4 address in dot-decimal notation.
Example: 142.72.8.120

languages
The languages spoken by the poster.
Format: Text. Multiple languages may be listed, separated by commas.
Example: English, Spanish

latitude
Latitude, in degrees.
Format: Number.
Example: 37.5537

lead_email
The email address (multiple addresses allowed) where leads should be sent for each listing. Multiple addresses should be separated by a comma.
Format: Text.
Example: joe@smith.com, john@home.com, jerry@site.com

longitude
Longitude, in degrees.
Format: Number.
Example: -122.3038

looking_for_description
A description of what the poster is looking for in another person.
Format: Text.
Example: A highly articulate, charming conversationalist. With a sense of humor.

looking_for_gender
The gender of the person the placer of the ad is seeking.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: both, female, male, other.
Example: female

looking_for_type
The type of relationship the person is looking for.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: friends (or activity partners), casual encounters, dating, relationship, marriage.
Example: relationship

marital_status
Marital status.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: divorced, married, separated, single, widowed.
Example: single

neighborhood
Neighborhood name.
Format: Text.
Example: Willow Park

occupation
The occupation of the poster.
Format: Text.
Example: recruiter

personals_type
Whether this listing is a classified ad or a personal profile.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: classified, personal profile.
Example: personal profile

registration
Listing requires registering at a site to view the content.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: yes, no.
Example: yes

religion
The religion of the person placing the ad.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: agnostic, alternative, atheist, buddhist, catholic, christian, hindu, jewish, muslim, other, protestant, scientologist, spiritual, taoist.
Example: other

secondary_source
The name of the original source of the listings, if it is other than the provider of this feed.
Format: Text.

seller_email
The email of the actual seller of the listing.
Format: Text.
Example: joe@smith.com

seller_name
The name of the actual seller of the listing.

The phone number of the actual seller of the listing.

The URL of the actual seller of the listing.

Whether the person smokes.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: no, sometimes, yes.

The abbreviation for the province or state.
Format: Text. Please use standard abbreviations where possible.
Example: CA

title
The title of the listing.
Format: Text.
Example: Energetic professional in search of significant other.

url
The URL of the details page for this listing. This URL must have relevent information about the listing.
Format: Fully qualified url.
Example: http://www.example.com/listing/details.html

want_kids
Whether the poster wants kids.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: yes, maybe, no.
Example: maybe

zip_code
The postal code or zip code of the listing.
Format: Text. Please use a format standard to the postal codes of the country in question.

zodiac
The zodiac sign of the person placing the ad.
Format: Text. Allowed values are: aquarius, aries, cancer, capricorn, gemini, leo, libra, pisces, sagittarius, scorpio, taurus, virgo.
